The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced that more than 1,300 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the award. The USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award was instituted in 1992-93 to honor collegiate and high school volleyball teams that maintained at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.
The Blue Devils had 12 student-athletes named to the Northeast Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, including eight being named to the NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll for a 3.75+ GPA. The volleyball team was also recognized for having the highest team GPA among CCSU's 16 Division I sports.
