Northeast Conference Announces Preseason Women's Lacrosse Poll
The Blue Devils were picked sixth in the coaches' poll.
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team was picked sixth in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll it was announced on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are slated to open the season on February 17 at Saint Joseph's.
Head coach Princess Livingston is entering her second season at the helm of the Blue Devils program.
The Blue Devils are under the direction of first year head coach Princess Livingston. Sophomore Megan Szawlowski returns for Central after earning All-NEC First Team honors as a rookie. She posted a team-leading 57 points on 30 goals and 27 assists last season.
Bryant collected seven first-place votes and was picked to finish first, followed by Wagner, Robert Morris, Mount St. Mary's and Sacred Heart. CCSU was sixth, followed by St. Francis U and LIU Brooklyn to round out the poll.
The Blue Devils went 3-4 in conference play last season with wins over LIU Brooklyn, St. Francis U and Mount St. Mary's.
Szawlowski is the top returning scorer for Central. Senior Kylie Sullivan (28 points; 11 G, 17 A), and sophomores Morgan Sinton (28 points; 16 G, 12 A) and Cameron Ruberti (24 points; 14 G, 10 A) are also back for the Blue Devils.

Central begins the 2018 season with a scrimmage at New Haven on February 10. The Blue Devils' regular season begins on February 17 at Saint Joseph's.
