Women's Lacrosse Ends Season With Loss on the Road at Wagner
Sinton Scores twice in season finale vs. Wagner
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse season came to an end with a 20-6 loss on the road at Wagner on Sunday. Wagner claims a share of the Northeast Conference regular season title with the victory. The Blue Devils finish the season 2-14 overall and 1-6 in league play.
Sophomore Morgan Sinton led the Blue Devils with a pair of goals and an assist in the loss. Senior Marissa Cotroneo had a goal and an assist in her final game, as did junior Caron Adelberger. Senior Kylie Sullivan and sophomore Alaigra Usher each had a goal.
Freshmen goalkeepers Meaghan Allard and Cooper Cowdin combined to make nine saves in the game for CCSU. Cowdin made a career-high eight saves in just under 40 minutes of action. She had 13 saves in almost 65 minutes of play in the last two games of the season.
Sinton finishes the season as the team's leading scorer having led the team in both goals (28) and assists (13) this year. Her 41 points are a new career-high. She now has 44 career goals and 25 career assists. Adelberger finished second on the team in points with 21, and third on the team in goals scored with 15.
