Women's Basketball Drops 61-56 Decision at Buffalo
Central travels to Pittsburgh on Monday. Nov. 11.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team dropped its season opener 61-56 to Buffalo Tuesday night in Alumni Arena in Buffalo, NY. Junior guard Emma McCamus led the Blue Devils with 13 points. Central won the battle of the boards 48-43 and had 15 points from the bench.
The Blue Devils held the Bulls to just 19-57 (.333) from the floor, but struggled offensively shooting just 17-of-62. A late rally with points from juniors Emma McCamus, Ashley Forker, and rookie Jamey Napoleon put Central within four with 2:22 to play, but the Bulls held on to win.

- Junior Emma McCamus opened the game drawing a foul at the rim and finishing the three- point play with a free throw.
- A shot from behind the arc by senior Ashley Chin stopped an early 8-0 run by the Bulls.
- The Blue Devil defense held the Bulls scoreless for the first 3:46 of the second quarter.
- Foul trouble by Buffalo put CCSU at the foul line. The Blue Devils shot 12-16 from the charity stripe in the second half.
- Central went on a 13-2 run in the third quarter to cut the lead to 3. CCSU outscored Buffalo 21-19 in the third.

NOTES
- Ashley Chin was the only other Blue Devil to hit double-figures. She finished the game with 11 points and eight rebounds.
- In her collegiate debut, Jamey Napoleon totaled nine points, shooting .500 (3-6) from the floor. She also had seven rebounds and three steals in 25 minutes of action.
- Central held Buffalo to just .333 (19-57) shooting on the game.
