Track and Field to Host "Night With The Blue Devils" Fundraiser
The event will be 6-9pm on Tuesday, June 18 at Alvarium Beer Co.
The Central Connecticut track and field programs will hosts a "Night with the Blue Devils" fundraiser in New Britain at the Alvarium Beer Co. on Tuesday, June 18. Guests can come celebrate the Blue Devils' successes in track and field while enjoying food and beverages at a local New Britain brewery. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the CCSU men's and women's track and field programs.
The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Alvarium Beer Co. (365 John Downey Drive, New Britain, CT) and includes unlimited food and drink. Tickets for the event are $50.
The CCSU women's track and field team won its first Northeast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship in program history, while the men were named the NEC Runner-Up. The women's cross country team was named NEC Champions for the first time since 1999. Head coach Eric Blake was named NEC Coach of the Year for women's cross country and women's outdoor track & field.
Alvarium Beer Co. opened its doors in June, 2017, and has a taproom that pays homage to industrial history of New Britain, featuring a "10-ton bar" made from reclaimed oak and steel I-beams. Local food trucks and food are also served. Entertainment includes a shuffleboard table, tabletop foosball and an outdoor patio, making it a welcoming and comfortable place to support a local brewery and the Blue Devils.
