Track and Field Ready for IC4A/ECAC Championships
Six athletes will compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships.
The Central Connecticut men's indoor track and field team will travel to Boston University on March 1-3 to compete at the 2018 IC4A/ECAC Championships inside of the BU Track and Tennis Center.
IC4A/ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
Six athletes will represent Central in the IC4A Championships. Sophomore Miles Fye-Moore will compete in the 200-meter dash at qualifying last weekend at the BU Last Chance Meet with a time of 22.01. The preliminary will start at 12:05 p.m. on Saturday and the finals will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Junior Richard Grudzwick will compete in the 800-meter run at 11:35 a.m. on Saturday for the preliminary and 1:05 p.m. on Sunday for the final.
Junior Quincy Sanchez qualified for the 60-meter hurdles which will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday for the prelim round followed by the semifinals at 10:50 a.m. The finals will be at 11:45 a.m on Sunday.
In the men's long jump, junior Kevorni Welsh will represent Central at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Classmate Marquis Ward will participate in the triple jump which will open the events for Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
The men's 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Akiel Smith, Jack St. Clair, Darius Wise, and Jason Walton will have prelims at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and the finals will be the last event on Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
