Men's Track Competes at IC4A Championships

The Central Connecticut men's track and field team is competing at the IC4A Outdoor Championships this weekend. Sophomore Sam Alexander led the Blue Devils with an eighth place finish in the 10,000 meter run on Friday. Alexander crossed the line in 30:53.78 to score CCSU's lone point in the first two days of competition.

Hrezi Leads Central at New England Championships

Freshman Mohamed Hrezi led Central Connecticut State University at the New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend. He placed third in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.72. Hrezi's time was less than a second off of his own school record in the event.

CCSU's Third Place Finish at NEC Championships Is Program Best

Central Connecticut State University finished with its best showing in school history at the Northeast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday. The Blue Devils placed third out of 11 teams with a total score of 79 points. CCSU was led in day two action by third place finishes by senior Ry Sanderson and sophomore Jeremy Schmid.

Blue Devils In Second Place After Day One at NEC Championship Meet

Sophomore Matt Berube and senior Ry Sanderson each won events to lead the Central Connecticut men's track and field team during first day action at the Northeast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Emmitsburg, MD. The Blue Devils scored 48 points to finished Saturday in second place out of 10 teams.

Radden Earns NEC Track Athlete of the Week Honors

Central Connecticut freshman Aaron Radden was named Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Track Athlete of the Week for his performance this weekend. The Blue Devil sprinter earned weekly NEC honors for the third time this year. Radden received the honors twice during the indoor season before being named Most Valuable Performer at the conference championships.

Hrezi and Radden Excel at Yale Springtime Invitational

Freshmen Mohamed Hrezi and Aaron Radden excelled on the track as Central Connecticut State University competed in a non-scored meet at Yale University on Sunday. Hrezi broke his own school record in the 800 meters, winning the event in a time of 1:52.12. Radden won both the 100 and 200 meter dashes, recording times of 10.86 and 21.59 seconds, respectively.

Hrezi Receives NEC Rookie of the Week Honors

Mohamed Hrezi earned his first career weekly honor for his performance at Holy Cross this weekend. The freshman was named Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday after winning the 800 meters, as the Central Connecticut men's track and field team placed third at Holy Cross on Sunday.

Radden Wins 100, 200 as Central Competes at Holy Cross

Freshman Aaron Radden led Central Connecticut to a third place finish at Holy Cross on Tuesday, winning both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Radden recorded times of 10.67 and 22.14 seconds in the two events, respectively. CCSU scored 72.50 team points to place third out of five team in competition in Worcester, MA.

Blue Devils Place Third of Seven at Holy Cross

Four different Blue Devils won individual events as the Central Connecticut men's track and field team placed third out of seven teams at Holy Cross on Sunday. Sophmore Jeremy Schmid won the 1,500 meters, sophomore Rashad Williams won the hammer throw, sophomore Nick Trifone won the high jump, and freshman Mohamed Hrezi brok the CCSU school record in the 800 meters while winning the event in a time of 1:52.81.

Rashad Williams Wins Shot Put as Blue Devils Compete at UMass, Bucknell

The Central Connecticut State University men's track and field team competed at both the Bucknell and UMass Invitationals this #$%^weekend. Bucknell was an unscored meet and the Blue Devils finished sixth out of 11 teams at the UMass meet. Sophomore #$%^Rashad Williams recorded the top performance of the weekend, winning the shot put in Amherst with a distance of 47'10'.

Sophomore Matt Berube and freshmen Mohamed Hrezi and Keith Boyd-Carter each placed fourth in their respective events as the Central Connecticut track and field team kicked off the outdoor season at the UConn Invitational on Saturday.

Blue Devils Break School Records at IC4A Championships

The Central Connecticut State University men's track and field competed in the IC4A Championships on Saturday to finish indoor competition for 2010. Freshman Mohamed Hrezi and the Blue Devil Distance Medley Relay team both broke school records this afternoon.

Radden Wins 200 Meters as CCSU Places 12th at New Englands

Freshman Aaron Radden won the 200 meter dash as Central Connecticut State University placed 12th out of 34 scoring teams at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend. Radden broke his own school record again as he crossed the line in 21.03 seconds. His time is the 11th fastest in Division I this season.

Alexander Breaks 5,000 Record at New England Championships

Sophomore Sam Alexander placed third in the 5,000 meter run to lead Central Connecticut State University at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. Alexander crossed the line in 14:48.13, breaking the CCSU school record for the indoor event. He topped teammate Ry Sanderson's time of 14:51.69 set at last year's Northeast Conference Championships.

Radden Named Most Valuable Performer as Blue Devils Place Fourth at NEC Championships

Freshman Aaron Radden was named Most Valuable Performer, Outstanding Track Performer and Outstanding Rookie Performer as the Central Connecticut State University men's track and field team placed fourth for the second straight year at the Northeast Conference Indoor Track Championships in Landover, MD. Radden won both the 60 and 200 meter dashes, recording times of 6.91 and 21.86 seconds, respectively.
