Cavener Selected to Play in N.E.I.S.L. Senior Bowl
Men's soccer senior Robert Cavener was selected to play in the 2010 N.E.I.S.L Senior Bowl last weekend. The game featured a team of Division I all-stars squaring off against a team of all-stars from Division III. The teams were selceted by the New England soccer coaches, and the game was played on the pitch at Harvard University.

The teams were selceted by the New England soccer coaches, and the game was played on the pitch at Harvard University.
Cavener has played in the midfield and on defense for the Blue Devils during his four year career. During his first season in 2007, Cavener was part of the first ever NCAA Tournament victory for a Central Connecticut men's team, as the Blue Devils made a run to the third round of the NCAA College Cup.
In 2008, following his sophomore season Cavener earned his first of three All-Northeast Conference selections. A second team selection that season, he earned first team honors, in 2009 and 2010. In both his sophomore and junior season he was also named to the NSCAA All-Region Team.
In addition to his first team All-NEC honor this season Cavener was also selected to the ESPN/Academic All-District First Team. This past season he led the Blue Devils in points posting three goals and four assists while playing in the back row for the first time.
