Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Home Decision vs. #10 Monmouth on Sunday
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at home to #10 Monmouth on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils are now 3-6 overall and 0-2 in Northeast Conference play with the loss. Monmouth improves to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in league action. Central returns to action on Friday on the road at Robert Morris.

After a scoreless first half, the Hawks scored the games' lone goal
in the 68th minute. RJ Allen took a pass from Chase Barbieri down
the right side of the field and beat the Blue Devil keeper to the
lower left corner for the score and the 1-0 lead.
Monmouth held a 10-3 advantage in shots in the game, including 6-1
in shots on goal. Blue Devil goalkeeper Anthony
Occhialini made four saves in net for the home team.
Monmouth's Bryan Meredith had one save to earn the shutout for the
Hawks.
The Blue Devils return to action next weekend when they travel to
Robert Morris on Friday for a 4 p.m. start. They also play at St.
Francis (PA) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
