Men’s Cross Country Opens Season at Bryant University Saturday
Senior Alex Norstrom came in third place overall followed by junior Roberto Piotto in fourth place.
The Central Connecticut men's cross country team opened its 2018 season at the Nassaney Invitational on Saturday, September 8, in Smithfield, RI. The men finished second overall across the 11 team field for the 8K course. Senior Alex Norstrom came in third place and was the first runner in for CCSU at 25:02. Junior Roberto Piotto was next in fourth place with a time of 25:16.
Junior Richard Grudzwick completed the 8K course in 25:34. Sophomore Charles Taubl (26:02) and junior Julio Arredondo (26:30) would finish within the next minute.
Rounding out the Blue Devil runners was freshman David Kerns (28:45) and senior Patrick Halloran (28:53).
The Blue Devils will hosts its 16th Annual Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT on Saturday Sept. 22. The meet will begin at 11:00 a.m.
