Men's Track and Field Tabbed Sixth in Preseason Poll
Central Connecticut men's track and field was tabbed sixth in the Northest Conference Preseason Poll Wednesday. The Blue Devils finished second at last year's competition.
CCSU, who won the outdoor NEC Championship in 2019, received two first place nods in the poll. Fairleigh Dickinson was tabbed as the favorite in the poll with four first place votes.
The Blue Devils' second place finish in 2021 was the team's third straight finish in second place. The team is vying for an NEC Championship after posting 11 medals at last year's competition.
Wagner, the reigning outdoor champs, were tabbed as favorites to repeat again this season with eight first place votes. Fairleigh Dickinson also received two first place votes, finishing third in the poll.
