Men's Soccer Comes Up Short to Le Moyne on Sunday
The Blue Devils got two goals from Austin Rocke, but could not overcome a pair of second half goals by Le Moyne.
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team came up short in a 3-2 setback against Le Moyne on Sunday afternoon at CCSU Soccer Field. Austin Rocke scored a pair of goals for Central, but it was not enough to overcome two second half goals by the Dolphins.
CCSU will play at Saint Francis U on Sunday.

KEY MOMENTS
- Le Moyne took advantage of earning a corner kick in the 35th minute. The Dophins played a short corner with David Bosak and Jack Goodrich combining to send a pass to Felix Ludemann who would send a low shot from the top of the penalty box to the far corner to make it 1-0.
- The Blue Devils would tie the game just over 15 minutes into the second half. CCSU drew a foul in the penalty box and Rocke stepped up and sent his kick into the right corner, making it 1-1.
- With just over 20 minutes to play the Dolphins took a shot from inside six yards, but Kyle Halehale cleared it off the goal line to keep the game tied. Le Moyne would go ahead in the 78th minute when Kjell Knaack sent a kick ahead to Cameron Stuart who took it down and dribbled down the left and scored on a low shot to the right.
- The Dolphins made it 3-1 at 82:09 when Jack Goodrich sent a low cross in front of the net where Noah Sperduto redirected it into the net.
- CCSU would cut the deficit to 3-2 with just over a minute to play when Ivan Farias-Martinez took a free kick and sent the ball to the far post where Rocke headed it into the net with 1:45 to play.

NOTES
- Sunday was the first meeting between the schools.
- Rocke had two shots in the game and scored on both shots. He has scored in three straight games and has a season-high five on the season.
- Daniel Wilmore had three saves in goal for the Blue Devils.
- Le Moyne had a narrow, 10-7 edge, in shots.
