Cavener Earns Third Straight NSCAA All-Region Honor
Central Connecticut senior Robert Cavener was named to the All-North Atlantic Region Second Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, it is the third consecutive year that he has earned the honor. After earning a third team selection as a sophomore Cavener has been selected to the second team the last two seasons.

Cavener Selected to Play in N.E.I.S.L. Senior Bowl
Men's soccer senior Robert Cavener was selected to play in the 2010 N.E.I.S.L Senior Bowl last weekend. The game featured a team of Division I all-stars squaring off against a team of all-stars from Division III. The teams were selceted by the New England soccer coaches, and the game was played on the pitch at Harvard University.

Robert Cavener Named First Team All-Northeast Conference for the Second Straight Season
Senior men's soccer player Robert Cavener was named a First Team All-Northeast Conference selection for the second straight season on Thursday night. Cavener led the Blue Devils in scoring in 2010 with three goals and four assists. He was also named to the First Team last season.

Men's Soccer Ends Season with Overtime Road Loss at Quinnipiac
Central Connecticut scored with 17 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime, but dropped a 4-3 overtime loss on the road at Quinnipiac on Friday afternoon. The Blue Devils finish the season with a 4-10-2 overall record and a 1-6-2 in NEC play. Three players each scored a single goal in the match for Central.

Robert Cavener Named ESPN/Academic All-District on Tuesday
Senior men's soccer player Robert Cavener was named to the ESPN/Academic All-District First Team on Tuesday. Cavener, a two-year captain for the Blue Devils, is one of 13 student-athletes in the District I region to be selected. He now advances to the nation ballot with a shot at earning Academic All-America honors. Cavener was also a first team regional selection last season.

The Central Connecticut men's soccer team played St. Francis (NY) to a 2-2 double overtime tie on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils are now 4-9-3 overall and 1-5-3 in NEC action this season. Senior's Robert Cavener and Connor Smith had the goals for the Blue Devils.

Men's Soccer Scores 1-0 Victory on the Road at Long Island on Friday
The Central Connecticut State University men's soccer team traveled to Long Island University on Friday and came away with a 1-0 win. The win is the first in conference action for Central this season, and improves their overall record to 4-9-2. They are 1-5-2 in Northeast Conference action. Connor Smith scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils in the win. Anthony Occhialini made four saves in goal for Central in the win.

Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision on Senior Day on Sunday Afternoon
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Sacred Heart in New Britain on Sunday afternoon. Central celebrated senior day prior to kickoff, honoring six players who were playing at home for the final time in their career. With the loss Central drops to 3-9-2 overall and 0-5-2 in Northeast Conference action. Sacred Heart moves to 10-4-1 and 5-2-1 in league play.

Terrell Whitting Scores in Overtime as Blue Devils Top Fordham 2-1 on Saturday Night
Sophomore Terrell Whitting scored with under two minutes to play in the second overtime as the Central Connecticut men's soccer team topped Fordham 2-1 on Saturday night in New Britain. The Blue Devils, now 3-4 on the season, tied the game with under two minutes to play in the first half. After allowing a Fordham goal 1:44 into the game, they didn't let the Rams score again in the 2-1 win.
