The Central Connecticut State University football team and Head
Coach Jeff McInerney announced its 2011 recruiting class on
Wednesday. The Blue Devils finished last season 8-3 and won their
fourth Northeast Conference title in seven seasons. The Blue
Devils graduate a decorated senior class from the 2010 championship
season, but a strong recruiting class will help the Blue Devils
contend for another NEC title in 2011.
"We are very excited about this year's recruiting class," McInerney
said on Wednesday afternoon. "Last season we did something not
many teams have done, we repeated and won a share of our second
straight NEC title. This class is going to help us remain in
contention for the NEC title every season. We continue to build
our program through the state of Connecticut, and the caliber of
student-athlete that we are bringing to New Britain for next season
is superb. I am extremely pleased with this year's class. Now we
look forward to spring practice and working towards winning a
third-straight NEC title."

Gerry Basadonna - 5-11, 175, Defensive Back
Xavier High School/Haddam, CT

Kyle Bryan - 6-5, 240, Offensive Line/Defensive Line
Hall High School/West Hartford, CT
Coach McInerney on Kyle: "One of the most athletic lineman

to play right away." (All-Conference, All Hartford
Courant)
Josh Celerin - 6-0, 180, Quarterback/Defensive Back
Brandon High School/Brandon, FL

impressive young man." (All-County All Star Game)
Brennden Cullen - 6-3, 205, Quarterback/Defensive Back
Bacon Academy/Colchester, CT

Kevin Harrigan - 6-5, 285, Offensive Line
Notre Dame (Fairfield)/Milford, CT
Coach McInerney on Kevin: "Kevin is a very intelligent

a tight end this past summer."
Jalen Hill - 6-3, 222, Defensive End
Hyde School/Bloomfield, CT
Coach McInerney on Jalen: "Jalen is an athletic

Friendship Collegiate Academy/Washington D.C.
Coach McInerney on Jordan: "Jordan is a big, athletic wide
receiver with excellent ball skills who can create miss-matches
with his size and athleticism. He was recruited by some bigger

With the loss of some playmakers on offense, we look for Jordan to
become a playmaker for us when he arrives in New Britain." (Rivals

during his time in New Britain."
DeAndre Price - 5-10, 175, Cornerback
Friendship Collegiate Academy/Washington D.C.
