Arnold was all over the field in Central's 24-23 Northeast
Conference road victory over Bryant. The freshman linebacker, who
spent a lot of time wreaking havoc in Bryant's backfield, recorded
10 total tackles (seven solo), 4.0 tackles for loss, two sacks, two
quarterback hurries, and one forced fumble.
Eight of his 10 tackles limited the Bulldogs to a gain of one yard
or less. Arnold's first career sack resulted in a 12-yard loss on
a 3rd-and-2 play in the second quarter. He sacked the Bryant QB
for a second time to help force a three-and-out late in the fourth
quarter with the game tied at 17-17. CCSU went ahead on the
ensuing drive.
The Blue Devils will host Albany on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Arute
Field. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. and fans can listen to all of the
action at 11:45 a.m. with Jason Page and Bruce Biel on ESPN Radio
