Men's Cross Country Finishes 21st At NCAA Northeast Regional
Blue Devils were paced by Brendan Mellitt
The Central Connecticut State men's cross-country team finished 21st, out of 39 teams, at the 2024 NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday. The Blue Devils were the top finisher of any team from within the Northeast Conference at the championship with 614 points.
Brendan Mellitt was the Blue Devils top finisher on Friday, running to a 65th place finish with a time of 31:24.16. Jake Ireland was the second CCSU runner across the line, placing 81st with a final time of 31:38.05. Mark Rodriguez stopped the clock at 32:32.85, to place 141st.
Chris Abbey was the Blue Devils fourth finisher, at 153rd place with a run of 32:42.42. Michael Kraszewski and Ryan McCauley crossed the line nearly identically at 33:05.48 and 33:05.86 to round out the Blue Devils effort.
