Men's Cross Country Wins New England Championships
Blue Devils ran away from the field to win the title for the second time (2013)
The Central Connecticut State men's cross-country team captured the team crown at the 2024 New England Cross Country Championships on Friday afternoon in Hopkinton Fairgrounds. The Blue Devils accumulated 38 points in the race, 37 points ahead of runner-up Providence.
It marks the second time in program history that the Blue Devils have won New England's, capturing the title in 2013 with 54 points.

NOTABLE
- Jacob Ireland finished as the runner-up, crossing at 24:18.90 to pace the CCSU effort
- James Sullivan was the second finisher for CCSU, finishing in fourth place, with a time of 24:24.96
- Brendan Mellitt was the third Blue Devil in the top six, finishing at 24:38.00
- Eddie Nicholas finished just outside the top-10, with an 11th-place finish after a run of 24:53.07
- Mark Rodriguez (25:01.08) and Chris Abbey (25:01.79) finished 15th and 16th respectively, to help seal the victory
- Rookie Michael Kraszewski was the seventh finisher for the victors, finishing 39th at 25:31.09
