Men's Cross Country Places 32nd at Paul Short Run
The Central Connecticut State men's cross country team placed 32nd at the 50th running of the Paul Short Run on Saturday at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. The Blue Devils competed in the Men's College Gold 8K.
The Blue Devils will run in the New England Championships on October 12.

NOTABLE
- Jacob Ireland was Central's top finisher, crossing the line in 24:41. He finished 86th among the field of 374 finishers.
- James Sullivan finished in 24:53.88 and was the team's second-best finisher.
- Brendan Mellitt closed with a time of 25:21.5 and placed 188th.
- Eddie Nicholas (25:34.1) and Michael Kraszewski (25:51.0) rounded out CCSU's top five runners.
- Salvatore Masciarelli finished in 25:57.0, and was followed by Nick Fusco who finished in 26:13.8 to round out the scoring runners for the Blue Devils.
RACE NOTES
- Camren Todd of Utah State won the individual crown with a time of 23:18.8.
- Wingate won the team title with four runners in the top 10. The field included teams from the Ivy League, ACC, Big Ten, Big East and Atlantic 10.
