Men's Cross Country Wins Season-Opener at Marist Invitational
The CCSU men's cross country team won the team race at the season-opening Marist Invitational on Saturday at Vassar Farm in Poughkeepsie, NY. Sophomore Eddie Nicholas paced the Blue Devils pack of five top-10 finishers. He completed the 6K course in 19:05.7.

- Nicholas placed fourth in the field of 69 runners, just 4.5 seconds off the pace.
- Freshman Colin Caso placed sixth with a time of 19:09.1 as a trio of Blue Devils finished 6-7-8. Freshman Jake Ireland (19:11.7) and classmate James Sullivan (19:16.4) were just behind.
- Sophomore Yankarlos Diaz placed 10th with a time of 19:19.4
- Junior Sean Oushana turned in a time of 20:21 to round the CCSU contingent of runners.
NOTES
- Central had a team-score of 35 to top the team leaderboard. Iona was next with 49 points.
