Men's 4x400 Relay Sets School Record
Blue Devils lowered the previous mark by nearly four seconds
The Central Connecticut indoor track and field teams competed at the Indoor Last Chance Meet on Sunday, run at the Boston University track.
The Blue Devils effort was highlighted by a school record from the men's 4x400 relay, running 3:10.76, nearly four seconds faster than the previous mark (3:14.23). Noah Colangelo led off the run with a 48.62 and KyMoy Phillip split 47.68 on the second leg. Jayden Brown posted a third leg time of 48.05, before Lucas Figueiredo's anchor leg of 46.44.
The two squads return to the track on March 8-9 at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, also hosted at Boston University.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Aiden Budge finished eighth in the open mile, running a time of 4:16.48
- Maxwell Czarnecki finished 10th in the 400m, going 49.32
- Michael Kraszewski ran the 5000m in 15:40.40, good for 21st
- Mark Rodriguez went 8:34.47 in the 3000m, finishing 24th in the field
- Jacob Ireland ran 4:07.58 in the mile invitational, good for 36th, while Samuel Whittaker went 4:19.91
