Bio

Michael Piper joined the Central Connecticut State Sports Performance staff in August 2010.  His primary sport responsibilities include the football, baseball, softball and volleyball teams.

Piper holds a Master of Science degree in physical education and exercise science which he earned from CCSU in 2012. Prior to his education at Central, Piper earned his bachelor's degree in exercise sport science with a minor in nutrition from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in May 2010.

Prior to working at CCSU, Piper coached at Arizona State University, North Dakota State University, University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and Viterbo College.

Piper, a former collegiate baseball player, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) and a United States Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach (USAW-1). He and his wife Ashley, reside in Bloomfield, CT.
