11th Annual Ray Crothers Memorial 5K Set for Saturday
The Ted Owen Invitational will begin after the 5K.
The 11th Annual Ray Crothers Memorial 5K Cross Country Race and Kids Mile Fun Run hosted by the CCSU Alumni, Track and Field Club and CCSU Athletic Department will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT. The event is in dedication to the legendary Blue Devil runner, Ray Crothers, who was a champion in three divisions at the Manchester Road Race. Following the Crothers 5K, the men's and women's cross country team will compete in the Ted Owen Invitational.
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Blue Devils men's and women's cross country/track and field programs under the head coach Eric Blake.

7:30 a.m. - Race Day Registration opens
8:30 a.m. - Kids' 1 Mile Fun Run (no entry fee)
9:00 a.m. - Ray Crothers 5K XC Race
11:00 a.m. - Men's 8K Collegiate Race (Ted Owen Invitational)
12:00 p.m. - Women's 5K Collegiate Race (Ted Owen Invitational)

Race Day Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. - Make checks payable to CCSU
CCSU Student Fee with Blue Chip ID is $5
ALUMNI OR CLUB TEAM CHALLENGE
Combined 3 men and 3 women team (any age)
$250 in prize money
AWARDS
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group category. A hospitality tent will be available.
T-shirts will be given to the first 100 online entries.
Alumni or Club Team: 1st place $125, 2nd place $75, 3rd place $50
