Central Connecticut's cross country and track and field head coach Eric Blake will represent the United States Track & Field Team at the 16th NACAC Mountain Running Championships on Sunday, Oct. 20, in Tepatitlan, Guadalajara, Mexico.
Blake was on the first ever medal winning USATF men's team at the 2008 World Mountain Running Championships in Switzerland. He joins three other USATF veterans including Andy Wacker, David Fuentes, and Travis Fuller.
"It is an honor to represent USA," says Blake. "I look forward to returning to Mexico for the NACAC Championships. Mexico is always a great host!" Blake is being sponsored by Woodbridge Running Company and UCAN.
This is the second time Tepatitlan, Mexico has hosted the event. The mountain course is 12 kilometers, just under 7.5 miles. The course is evenly split with running six kilometers up and six back down.
