Volleyball Takes Lafayette to Five
Volleyball was unable to get in the win column on Saturday, dropping the final two matches of the UConn Challenge. Freshman Tori Boulay was named to the All-Tournament team for her performance over CCSU's three games.

KEY MOMENTS
GAME 1
- The Blue Devils were unable to get much going in the first set, trailing by as much as 14 at points.
- The second set was a much cleaner one for CCSU, only committing four errors to the eight in the first. Freshman Nyjha Marcelin had a team-high four kills, but was not enough to overcome the Huskies in set two.
- CCSU narrowly stole the third and final set from UConn. Central kept things close to start, but a strong late push from UConn sealed a seven point set victory, sealing a UConn victory.
GAME 2
- CCSU hit .278 in the second set against Lafayette. This total was the best the team had hit in its three game weekend.
- Freshman Rachel Pica put up an impressive 18 digs in the match, smashing her previous season high of three. Natalie Novak and Emma Henderson also put up double-digit dig counts while Marcelin was the only Blue Devil with double-digit kills.
- The Blue Devils were able to take a set lead going into the fourth, but a 4-0 run from Lafayette put them back in the driver's set heading into the final frame.

The Blue Devils will be back on the road next weekend, taking part in the Desmond Siena Invitational Tournament from September 10-11.
