Ten Score In Women's Basketball Win Over Bryant
Rohkohl led the way with nine points and 15 rebounds, while Lanpher scored 10
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team used a total team effort to earn a 58-54 win over visiting Bryant University Saturday afternoon at Detrick Gymnasium. The Blue Devils had 10 different players score in the game, led by the 10 points of Belle Lanpher.
Bryant tied the score 29-29 with 6:50 to play in the third quarter. The Blue Devils scored 14 unanswered points and held Bryant without a field goal for 8:32 to build a 14-point advantage, 45-31, with 8:35 to play. The Bulldogs closed within a basket, 56-54, with one second to play, before Lanpher drained a pair of free throws to secure the win.

- Trailing 4-3 Meghan Kenefick knocked down a three with 8:03 to play in the first quarter, giving CCSU the 6-4 advantage
- That basket started a 9-0 CCSU run, capped by an Emma Bruen triple at the 5:27 mark, that put the Blue Devils in front, 12-4
- Belle Lanpher knocked down her first triple of the game with 39 ticks left in the period, giving CCSU a 20-11 advantage at the break

- That was followed by a traditional three-point play from Lara Rohkohl and the Blue Devils were back in front by six, 35-29 with 5:31 to play in the third
- CCSU pushed the run to 14-0 with back-to-back three pointers from Ally Sentence and Lanpher, forcing a Bryant timeout, with a 43-29 lead with 2:13 to play in the third quarter
- Bryant ended a field goal drought of 8:32 with a three from Brianna Frongillo at 8:18, to close within 45-34
- The Bulldogs cut the deficit to four points three times in the final 2:42, but were only able to get into a one possession game after a Bianca Chasco make with one second remaining

- CCSU had nine different players score in the first half, none scoring more than four points and had 10 score in the game
- The 20 points scored in the first quarter is the fifth 20+ point quarter for the Blue Devils this season
- The Blue Devils scored 14 unanswered points to end the third quarter, all without giving up an offensive rebound to the Bulldogs
- CCSU collected a season-high 46 rebounds, its third straight game with 40 or more, and a season-best 19 offensive rebounds
