Men's Track & Field Places Second At NEC Indoor Championship
Williams, Jr. sets school and NEC meet record in winning 60m hurdles
The Central Connecticut State men's track and field team placed second as a team, with 102 points at the Northeast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Edward Williams Jr. Set an NEC Indoor Championship meet record in winning the 60m hurdles, crossing at 7.85, which also is a CCSU school record

Cam Whalen, sixth, and Kenny Agwa, seventh, added five points in the 60m hurdles

James Sullivan gave CCSU a second-place finish in the mile, crossing at 4:20.49, while Joe Lauria (4:28.25) and Ryan McCauley (4:29.09) finished seventh and eighth respectively, for 11 total points

Jovan Dixon ran 49.19 in the 400m, placing third, while Cam Whalen picked up seventh place, giving CCSU eight points in the event

Gabriel Kwarteng ran 1:06.76 in the 500m final, earning fifth place

Aiden Budge placed fourth in the 800m run, at 1:54.73

Yankarlos Diaz crossed fourth in the 5000m and Tim Lautenbach placed seventh

Salvatore Masciarelli, Israel Henriques-Setho, Budge and Jake Ireland captured third place in the DMR, running 10:21.42

Dixon, Kwarteng, Williams, Jr. And Whalen partnered for a bronze in the 4x400 relay to round out the Blue Devils weekend
