Men's Soccer Stopped at Bryant on Friday
CCSU hosts Robert Morris on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team fell in Northeast Conference action at Bryant, 3-0, on Friday in Smithfield, RI. The Bulldogs scored twice in the second half to provide a comfortable lead after the Blue Devils kept the home team off the scoreboard in the opening half hour. Sophomore Jason Dubrovich made 12 saves in the game. Central Connecticut will host Robert Morris at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

KEY MOMENTS
- Ben Williams opened the scoring with just under 10 minutes to go in the opening half. Jake Spaulding slipped a pass to Williams who tucked his shot into the back of the net on his first touch.
- Bryant doubled its lead in the 66th minute when Victor Rey converted a penalty kick.
- Spaulding scored in the 73rd minute to make it a three goal lead off a pass from Zachary Valckenaere.
- Anthony Barreira scored with two minutes remaining to close out the scoring

- CCSU Men's Soccer is celebrating its 50th season of varsity competition in 2019. The program will host an Alumni Game prior to Sunday's kickoff.

- Junior Eddie Yepes had a shot on goal for CCSU, while sophomore Sean Gannon had a team-high two shots.
- The Blue Devils had a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
