Women's XC Competes at NEC's Saturday

The Central Connecticut women's cross country team is set to compete in the 2013 Northeast Conference Championships on Saturday in Loretto, PA. The meet will be hosted by Saint Francis U and is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.

Last year, the Blue Devils finished fifth at the NEC Championships, this season, CCSU was tabbed by the league's coaches in the Preseason Coaches Poll to finish third. Central finished fourth at the Father Bede Invitational on Sept. 28, just 12 points behind Robert Morris. The Father Bede Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis U, was held on the same course as Saturday's championships.
Central has been led by junior Shannon McBride all season as she has been the top-finishing Blue Devil in each of CCSU's five meets.
