Men's Cross Country 8th at NCAA East Regional
Craig Hunt paces CCSU with 25th place finish
The Central Connecticut men's cross country team placed eighth overall out of 37 total teams at the NCAA East Regionals on Friday. Senior Craig Hunt paced CCSU with a 25th place finish with a time of 30:46.7. The regional was held at Van Cortland Park in Bronx, NY and covered 10k.
The Blue Devils placed eighth overall as a team with a score of 270. Syracuse won the regional followed by Columbia, Iona, Providence, Dartmouth, Harvard, Yale and then the Blue Devils. Cornell and Binghamton rounded out the top-10.
Central's previous best finish at the regionals had been a 16th place finish.

Hunt's 25th place finish came with a time of 30:46.7, just 35 seconds behind the first place finisher. He was followed by teammates Brian Biekert, a junior, who was 36th with a time of 31:07.7 and senior Colby Delbene who was 59th with a time of 31:34.0.
Senior John Krell finished 75th (31:54.1) and sophomore Tyler Raymond was right behind in 79th place with a time of 31:55.7. Sophomore Andy Pullaro finished in 132nd place at 32:42.0 and junior Patrick Hubbell was 146th at 32:58.4. There were 255 total runners in the race.
