Men's Cross Country 3rd at Ted Owen Invite
Andrew Hill is top finisher for CCSU on Saturday
The Central Connecticut men's cross country team finished third out of seven teams at the 11th Annual Ted Owen Invitational on Saturday morning in New Britain. The race covers 8k and was run at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain.
UConn won the team title with 23 points, followed by Boston University (60), CCSU (74), Hartford (105) and Rhode Island (112) rounding out the top five. Bryant and Pace finished in sixth and seventh place.
Senior Andrew Hill led the Blue Devils with a fifth place finish in a time of 26:24. Junior Patrick Hubbell was 14th (27:03), followed by freshman Derek French (17th, 27:40), sophomore Andy Pullaro (18th, 27:41), freshman Thomas Lupoli (20th, 27:42) and freshman Joseph Gioielli (35th, 28:57).
Boston University's Alex Olson (26:10) captured first place in the face, followed by three UConn runners. Michael O'Donnell (26:18), Alvaro Chavex (26:21) and David Cotton (26:23) finished second through fourth for the Huskies.
The Blue Devils return to action on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Saint Francis U.
