Blue Devils Take Second in Tri-Meet at Bryant
Central scored 44 points in Saturday's track & field meet in Rhode Island.
The Central Connecticut men's track and field team competed against Rhode Island and Bryant in Smithfield, RI on Saturday. The team totaled 44 points, finishing second. Rhode Island won the meet, finishing with a score of 130 points and Bryant finished last with 35 points.

Miles Fye-Moore took the gold in the men's 200 meter final. The junior ran a time of 21.81. Teammate Jovan Dixon placed fourth in the event.

Junior Cam Whalen finished third in the men's 100 meters finals with a time of 11.17.

Ali Diaby placed third in the 400 meter finals.

Freshman Jake Ireland came in third for the mile run, posting a time of 4:17.55. Elias Field finished second in the 5000 meter run.

Eddie Nicholas bested teammate Yankarlos Diaz in the steeplechase finals. The pair was good for first and second in the event.

The Blue Devils took first in the men's 4 x 100 relay finals. The team consisted of Jovan Dixon, Ali Diaby, Cam Whalen, and Miles Fye-Moore who ran a 41.39.

Sophomore Andrew McCarthy won the discus finals and teammate Nick Kocienda placed third.
