Eberhardt Finishes 46th at NCAA East Regional
Elizabeth Eberhardt finished 46th at the 2015 NCAA East Regional on Friday night in Jacksonville, FL.
Senior Elizabeth Eberhardt of the Central Connecticut women's track and field team ran 10:56.02 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase on Friday night at the 2015 NCAA East Regional of the Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships. The time earned Eberhardt a 46th place overall finish out of the top-48 runners in the event across the entire Eastern United States.
EAST REGIONAL RESULTS
Eberhardt ranked 78th nationally in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and 46th in the East Region heading into the competition with a qualifying time of 10:27.55, which she ran at the 2015 ECAC Championships. Eberhardt's time stands as the new CCSU school-record, smashing the record setting time that she previously set back in 2013 (10:37.64) by over 10 full seconds.
The top-12, led by Michigan State's Leah O'Connor (9:35.33), advance from the East Regional to the NCAA Finals in Eugene OR. The East Regional was held at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL on Friday night.
