Women's Soccer Picked Fourth in NEC Coaches Poll
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team has been picked fourth in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Thursday. The Blue Devils are coming off a 9-9-2 overall record and a 5-3-2 record in the NEC in 2010. They finished in a tie for fourth place and advanced to the NEC Tournament for the ninth consecutive season, the longest active streak in the league.

The Blue Devils, who have a league-best seven NEC titles, advanced to the NEC Tournament semifinals last season and will look to make it 10 straight appearances this fall.
Captains Brittany Jackson and Jewel Robinson will lead a squad that will play its first six contests away from home.
The Blue Devils kick off the 2011 season on the road at Army on August 26th and then at Connecticut on August 28th. They open their home campaign on September 16th at Arute Field in New Britain, CT against Albany (N.Y.). All of the remaining home games will be played at Willow Brook Park in downtown New Britain.
