Bio

 

 

 Ryan Budd was on the CCSU Track and Cross Country teams from 2010-2015. He assisted the Blue devils in winning three team NEC Championships (Indoor 2011, Outdoor 2014, & Outdoor 2015). He is also the school record holder for the Indoor 4x400. 

After Central, Budd coached at the University of Central Arkansas from 2015-2017. He specialized in coaching combined event athletes and pole vault. He ended up coaching the women's team to 7 school records and had an athlete (Samantha Gibson) ranked #68 Pentathlete in Division 1.

Budd then went on to leave Central Arkansas and coach at fellow a Northeast Conference school, Wagner College. His primary duties were as recruiting coordinator, meet director, and academic compliance. He coached all of the Seahawks sprinters and jumpers and helped them to break an Indoor NEC meet record for pole vault. During Budds time at Wagner, the team broke 19 school records and had 11 NEC Champions. He also coached an NCAA East Regional Qualifier- Josiah Cadet 400mh- 52.34. Wagner won four NEC Team Championships with Budd as a coach (Men's XC 2019, 2020, Men's Indoor 2020, and Men's Outdoor 2021).
