Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Both the men's and women's Central Connecticut cross country teams were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday for their outstanding work in the classroom. The men's cross country team posted a cumulative 3.29 team GPA during the fall semester.

Both the men's and women's Central Connecticut cross country teams were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday for their outstanding work in the classroom. The men's cross country team posted a cumulative 3.29 team GPA during the fall semester. 

The Blue Devils were runners up at the 2022 Northeast Conference Championship and had eight runners earn All-NEC honors. 

Overall, there were 216 different programs who were named All-Academic Teams for their efforts during the 2022 season. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
