Eric Blake Named Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year
After leading the men's cross country team to its 10th Northeast Conference Championship, head coach Eric Blake was named Coach of the Year by the NEC on Thursday.
This is the eighth time that Blake has received the honor in his 13th season with the program.
The Blue Devils won the NEC Championship with a final score of 28 an had three Blue Devils finish in the top five, including individual champion Eddie Nicholas.
Along with the NEC Championship, the men's team won the Marist Invitational to start the season, the Ted Owen Invitational, a second place finish in the CCSU Mini Meet and a fourth place finish at the New England Championships.
This season, the Blue Devils have had three Athlete of the Week selections (Nicholas 2x, Colin Caso) and four Rookie of the Week selections (Caso 2x, James Sullivan 2x).
