Men's Cross Country Wins Ted Owen Invitational, Nicholas Finishes First

The men's cross country team defended their home turf well on Saturday, winning the Ted Owen Invitational with a final score of 21. The Blue Devils had four runners finish in the top five, including a first place finish from Eddie Nicholas.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils were able to run together in pods very well on their home course of Stanley Quarter Park. A group of four CCSU runners set the pace for the rest of the schools for most of the race.
- Nicholas had a strong start to the race and held his lead well. He finished first overall with a time of 26:00.7
- Following right behind Nicholas were three more CCSU runners. Yankarlos Diaz was just a few seconds shy of nabbing second place (26:08).
- Two freshman rounded out the top five for CCSU with James Sullivan (26:16.9) and Colin Caso (26.21.3).
