Bio

Mike Miller begins his first season as an assistant on the Central Connecticut men's and women's track & field staff after serving as an assistant for the past three seasons at Amherst College. He will primarily be responsible for working with the Blue Devils throwers and pole vaulters.

While at Amherst College, Miller predominately worked with the sprinters and throwers, and also coordinated the squads’ strength and conditioning programs. Prior to Amherst, Miller spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Springfield College, working with their jumpers, throwers and sprinters and he also previously served as the head coach of the boys and girls track and field teams at E. O. Smith High School in Storrs, CT.

Miller earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Springfield in 2008. Also holding a master's of science in Advanced Level Coaching from his alma mater, he was one of the region's best decathletes and jumpers as an undergraduate, earning ECAC Titles in 2006 and 2007, while winning conference honors in the high jump en route to team MVP in 2008.
