Track To Compete at Georgia Tech and Larry Ellis, Friday and Saturday
The men's and women's track teams split up this weekend for the Larry Ellis and Georgia Tech Invitationals.
The Central Connnecticut men's and women's outdoor track teams will take on the Larry Ellis and Georgia Tech Invitationals this Friday and Saturday, April 21-22. Princeton will host the Larry Ellis Invitational at Weaver Stadium in Princeton, NJ and the Georgia Tech Invitational will be held in Atlanta, GA at George C. Griffin Track.

On Friday, men's track members, junior Tyler Latham, freshman Nana Kissi and women's track and field freshman Gianna D'Amato kick off the weekend events for CCSU at 2:00 p.m. in the javelin throw at the Larry Ellis Invitational.
Also competing on day one at Princeton, will be rookie Jonathan Gill in the 800m (5:15 p.m.), last week's NEC Co-Track Athlete of the Week, junior Austin Trainor in the 3K steeplechase (6:15 p.m.), and the 1,500m run (7:15 p.m.) will feature senior Joeseph Gioielli and rookie Julio Arredondo.
Down south, junior Melissa Wolliston, and sophomore Sierra Nesmith will represent the Blue Devils in the 100m hurdles on Friday at 6:00 p.m. The duo will also compete on Saturday in Georgia Tech's 400m hurdles at 1:15 p.m. Second year men's track hurdle specialist, Edwin Alston, will race on Friday in the 110m hurdles at 6:30 following Wolliston and Nesmith.
The Central Connecticut women's track and field squad will begin day two at the Larry Ellis Invitational at noon in the 4x100 meter relay headling a pair of seniors, Sarah Hicks and Sherise Truman, and freshmen, Erica Snape and Wileshka Samuel.
