Before Central: Selected as All-American in the 800m, and All-State in 800m, and 1,000m...All SCC in 800m, 4x800m Relay, SMR Relay, and 1,000m events... At Lyman Hall High School, Gill broke five schools records in the 800m, 1,600m 1,000m, SMR Relay, and 4x400m Relay.
