Blue Devils Complete Day One at Lafayette on Sunday
Day two will take place on Monday morning
The Central Connecticut men's golf team sits in 14th place out of 19 teams after the first round of the Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Invite hosted by Lafayette University on Sunday. The tournament is being held at the Silver Creek Country Club and is a par-71 course.
The first round was played in consistent 20-30 mile per hour winds, with gusts reaching 40 miles per hour throughout the day.
Central shot 322 in the first round, led by junior Bryant Bolden who had a team-best score of 78 on the first day of action. The Blue Devils were competing for the first time during the spring season.
Sophomore Anthony Sebastianelli fired a round one score of 79, while sophomore Brandon Raine shot 82. Junior Nick Direda shot 83 and senior Connor Murphy shot 85 on Sunday.
Bolden is tied for 26th place overall, followed by Sebastianelli (tie for 35th), Raine (tie for 63rd), DiReda (tie for 70th) and Murphy (tie for 84th).
The second and final round will begin on Monday morning.
