Bio

Sean Ryan returns for his fourth season on the Central Connecticut men's basketball coaching staff in 2013-14.  This season will be his first as the Associate Head Coach. 

Ryan came to New Britain from Holy Cross where he spent the 2009-10 season.  Prior to his time with the Crusaders he coached for two seasons at Boston University helping them improve to a 17-14 record in 2008-09. He was involved in all areas of the Terriers' program, including on-court coaching, recruiting, practice and game preparation, scheduling, compliance, academic advising and counseling.

Prior to his time at Boston University, Ryan was an assistant coach at the College of Charleston for two years. He helped lead the Cougars to winning records during both of his seasons, and a total of 35 wins. Ryan was previously an assistant coach at St. Anselm College for three seasons.

Ryan is a 1996 graduate of St. Anselm with a Bachelor's Degree in business.  He was a two-year letter winner for the Hawks' basketball team.  During his two-year stint, the Hawks earned a combined record of 54-8 while capturing two Northeast-10 Championships.  Ryan was a second team All-Northeast 10 selection and earned second team NABC All-New England honors. He scored 1,063 career points and made 229 career three-point field goals during his time at St. Anselm.

Ryan and his wife Liz have a son, Max, and a daughter, Layla.
