Adam Lechtenberg begins his first season with the Central Connecticut coaching staff in 2010.  He joins the Blue Devils after a three year stint at Texas Christian University.  Lechtenberg will be coaching the quarterbacks for CCSU this season.

Lechtenberg coached TCU from 2007 to 2009 as a graduate assistant. Among a myriad of duties, Lechtenberg’s responsibilities with the Horned Frogs included assisting in the breakdown of opponent film and creating scouting reports. He also organized defensive and special teams scout teams and worked with the offensive line.  In 2009 TCU was seventh in FBS for total offense and fifth in scoring offense.  The Horned Frogs were one of six teams to average 200 rushing and passing yards for the season.

A 2002 graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lechtenberg served as the running backs coach and video coordinator at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO during the spring of 2007.  He was also a graduate assistant for two seasons at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. His coaching responsibilities there included wide receivers and kickoff returners. Lechtenberg also doubled as the team’s video coordinator.

Lechtenberg has also taught and coached on the high school level. He has worked several football camps through the years, including TCU in 2004. A native of Butte, NE, Lechtenberg was a standout athlete at Butte High School. He earned first-team All-State honors at quarterback and posted a 35-3 record as the starting signal caller. He was also an honorable-mention All-State basketball player and a state medalist in track and field.
