Bio

Michael Day joined the CCSU coaching staff in March 2023. He will coach the Blue Devils outside linebackers. Day began his coaching career at SUNY Maritime College and has had stops at Nassau Community College and New Haven.

Day, a native of Plainview, NY, earned his undergraduate degree at Sacred Heart University and a masters degree from New Haven.

BEFORE CCSU

New Haven (2021-23)

• Coached Outside Linebackers and was part of the Chargers 2021 NE-10 Championship team and made two NCAA Playoff appearances
• Coached David Abolarinwa to NE-10 All-Rookie honors

Nassau Community College (2018-21)

• Coached the wide receivers for the 2018 season and corner backs in 2019-20, as well as serving as video coordinator
• Had WR Rashad Tucker earn NJCAA All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2018

SUNY Maritime College (2017-18)

• Coached defensive backs, including two Second-Team All-Conference selections
• Helped team to a 90-2 record and an appearance in the 2017 New England Bowl
