Central Connecticut senior
Rachel Pinsky competed at the two-day 2021 Northeast Conference Diving Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Jack Suydam Natatorium on the campus of CCSU in New Britain, CT. Pinsky dove in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events
Pinsky scored four points for the Blue Devils, placing fifth in the consolation final of the 3-meter event. Pinsky scored 157.10 points in the consolation. She scored 175.85 in the preliminaries to place ninth, narrowly missing the final.
On Sunday Pinsky dove in the 1-meter event and scored 152.30 in the preliminaries to qualify for the consolation final. Pinsky scored 151.55 in the consolation to place 14th overall.
Bryant sophomore Kyri Chambo, the reigning NEC Diver of the Meet and the 2020 NEC 1m and 3m champion, won her third and fourth NEC individual golds. She won with a 215.80 score in the 3m event and won the 1m event with a score of 241.20.
The swim portion of the championship runs from March 30 to April 1 at the Keystone Aquatic Center in Carlisle, PA.
