Lacrosse Falls To LIU On Senior Day
Blue Devils drop final home game of 2024, 20-3
The Central Connecticut State lacrosse team dropped its home regular-season finale on Saturday, falling 20-3 to Northeast Conference foe LIU. The Blue Devils fall to 2-12 overall and 2-7 in league play, while the Sharks improve to 8-7 on the year and 8-1 in NEC action.
Before the game the Blue Devils honored their senior class, recognizing Brieanna Bernier, Margot Dorax, Jill Levis, Talie Richardson, Kya Richardson Lauren Valluzzi and Shaelyn Yermal.
The Blue Devils close out the 2024 campaign at Sacred Heart on Wednesday. Game time is 3:00 pm in Fairfield, CT.
KEY MOMENTS
- LIU tallied the first three goals of the game in the first 3:39 of the contest
- Talie Richardson found the back of the net for CCSU at the 9:03 mark, for an unassisted goal
- The Sharks scored twice in the final 39 seconds of the quarter to take a 5-1 advantage
