Women's Basketball Tripped Up by the Knights
Central Connecticut women's basketball dropped its home game to Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday 62-42. The Blue Devils rode a one point lead heading into the half, but a rough third quarter from the floor allowed the Knights to run away with it.

KEY MOMENTS
- It was a scoring fest in the first quarter for both teams as the Blue Devils and Knights shot at least 50 percent from the floor and from deep. CCSU hit four of their six three pointers as Dejah Jenkins and Ashley Berube each scored seven points.
- After an offensive showcase in the first quarter, the second quarter could not be farther from it. Both teams combined for 0-9 from deep. The Knights took a two point lead with 57 seconds to play in the half, but Forever Toppin hit a clutch and-one that put CCSU up one heading into the break.
- It was a tale of two teams in the third quarter as the Blue Devils struggled even more in the third and the Knights pieced things together to get a big lead. FDU went on a 19-2 over the first nine minutes of the third.
- The Blue Devils were able to knock down a few shots in the fourth but still could not muster up a run to come back against the Knights.
NOTES
- Berube was recognized before Sunday's contest for reaching the 1,000 point milestone during the Blue Devils last game at LIU.
- Jenkins and Berube paced the CCSU offense with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
- This was the Blue Devils lowest shooting percentage as a team (25.8 percent) this season.
