Whittaker Breaks 5K School Record at Penn Relays
The Central Connecticut outdoor track and field team competed in four events at The Penn Relays on Thursday with Samuel Whittaker smashing the 5K record.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Samuel Whittaker broke the 5K school record with a time of 13:58.24 previously held by Matt Walker (15:32.73, 2016). Whittaker placed 7th in the event.
- James Sullivan ran the 5,000m run in 14:19.06 to place 7th in the event.
- Eddie Nicholas competed in the 3000mS and ran a 9:23.14 for 29th place in the event.
- Jacob Ireland placed 18th in the 1500m with a time of 3:48.53. Brooke Morabito competed in the women's 1500m run with a time of 4:24.77 and a 19th-place finish.
