Men's Basketball Stopped at Boston College on Tuesday
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team came up short at Boston College, 82-68, on Tuesday night in Chestnut Hill, MA. The Blue Devils held the Eagles without a field goal for the final four minutes of the game to chip away at the final margin.
Jordan Jones scored a career-high for the third straight game, finishing with 19 points, while Allan Jeanne-Rose added 19 points and 12 rebounds. Tre Breland added 12 points, while Jayden Brown finished with 11. CCSU shot 24-of-57 (.421) overall and was 7-of-20 (.350) from three-point range. Central was 13-of-19 (.684) at the foul line.
Donald Hand, Jr. led four in double-figures for Boston College. The Eagles shot 30-of-60 (.500) overall in the game and 9-of-25 (.360) from three-point range. BC was 13-of-16 (.813) at the foul line.
The Blue Devils next travel to Maine for a Saturday afternoon tilt.

- CCSU opened the game's scoring but would endure a stretch of five straight missed shots at one point and fell behind. The Eagles would score six straight points and quickly pushed its lead to 18-8 following a three-pointer by Quinten Post. Boston College went on a 9-0 run over a three-minute span and extended the lead to 27-13 midway through the half.
- Following the three-pointer by Allan Jeanne-Rose, Central would not get any closer in the opening period. Boston College scored the final nine points over the final 2:44 and went into the half with a 49-23 lead.
- The Central defense would slow BC midway through the second half, forcing them into six straight misses over a three-minute span and scoring eight unanswered points. Tre Breland would power the spurt with six points, including a steal and dunk to make it 70-49 with 6:59 to go.
- A layup by Mason Madsen pushed the BC lead to 80-52 with 4:11 remaining, but that was the Eagles' last field goal of the game. A layup by Jeanne-Rose would open a closing spurt of 16-2 for the Blue Devils. Following a three-pointer by Brody Limric with 3:20 remaining, CCSU would score the final 14 points of the game, including seven by Jones.
