Collection to Benefit New Britain Homeless Shelters and Maria's Place at Saturday's Basketball Game
The President's Office and the CCSU Alumni Association are teaming up to collect items for its annual drive to support New Britain homeless shelters and they will be collecting items at the men's basketball game on Saturday, February 12. The game will tip off at 1:00 p.m. and donations will be collected in the entrance lobby to Detrick Gymnasium for fans to bring their donations to on the way to the game. Items will be collected to make "overnight emergency kits"
Fans are encouraged to bring their donated items to benefit the local New Britain Homeless Shelters and Maria's Place Food Pantry to the game and drop them in the collection boxes on their way in to the game. There are also blue collection boxes placed in each academic building and outside the President's Office in Davidson Hall on campus to collect donations through February 10.
